Here is a familiar face to the LAUSD EdTech Group. Smart Technologies’ very own Angela explains their involvement in the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus project.
I spoke with this gentleman about very nice, graphical podcasting software called Ubercaster. I was very impressed. (I’m not impressed about the sound in this clip - my apologies)
I bumped into this gentleman in the food and drink vendor line. It turned out he works with my department ‘s Chief Administrator, Themy Sparangis, on a K through 20 Ed Tech project in Sacramento.
Keyspan has a delightfully useful product for teachers that use their iPod for video presentations.

The question of content ownership and iTunes U came up. It seems to be question of whether “Professional” content creators is the best model. If students were taught to inquire and discern, then ALL content creators would be useful to learn. A culture of inquiry instead of professional content creators (Gatekeepers?). Hmmm…

This is a webtool called Jott. I’m making a phone call through voice comands using my Bluetooth headset on my phone. I am sending this voicemail to my Tumblr log, Jott will transcribe it, post the words and then include a link so you can listen to the audio if you so choose. listen Powered by Jott
